More Katrina Effects

I'm watching FOXNews right now, like I usually do.

All they are doing for 9/11 so far? A few updates in between Katrina stories; stories we've all heard a thousand times by now.

As I type, they are actually doing a story about President Bush remembering victims of 9/11. OH -- just as I say that, they announce the President is headed back to the storm ravaged gulf coast regions today.

Meantime, a new storm, Ophelia sits stationary by South Carolina. She's just waving at the beach right now, her winds barely making her a hurricane. The storm should hit the Carolinas as a Cat2 but after Katrina, Dennis, Ivan, Opal, Jeanne, Bonnie, and Charlie I really don't think South Carolina has much to worry about. But still, precautions should be taken. However, that being said, I still foresee in the near future many petrified residents fleeing the Atlantic coastline after the non-stop coverage of Katrina and why any hurricane should be taken seriously only to return home and see that it looked like nothing ever hit.

In short: Expect a surge in hotel rentals throughout northwest Georgia, western South Carolina and North Carolina maybe even into eastern Tennessee...meaning now isn't a good time to visit Gatlinburg.

Speaking of ads

Ads may not belong in comments but they can be presented in form of banner on this blog, which several people have chosen to do. Right now, I urge you to check out DISH Network on the left of this post. There are many packages to choose from and you can still get all your local channels! Premium channels, music channels, local channels, I love all the ones I have and I'm not even paying more in a month than what I pay one time at the gas pump! Seriously! Just check it out.

Ads belong on banners

Sorry to do this to those of you who actually enjoy making the decent comment but get turned off due to adds in the comments left behind, but I've had to add some verification to my comments. Seems lately I've deleted more comments than I've been able to post at all. Shouldn't be that big of a change, only that you have to decifer those extremely weird letters and numbers by the send button.
