Back from vacation

My husband and I got back from vacation over the weekend. It was a great vacation to the beach where we visited some family. The only problem with going on vacation is that you don't want to go back to work!

Another reason to never leave a vacation ever again is what you come back to when you DO go back to work; i.e. this morning. I come back to find out that the FBI was getting a little more involved in the Holloway case, only to back off. Then the dad has been released after he was arrested to "pressure" Juron. Also, the DJ has been released. Why was he arrested in the first place?
More news: a 14-year-old girl boogie-boarding in the Destin area was eaten by a shark. There was an image in the Birmingham News of one of the sharks in the area which leads to this advice: don't get in the water! If I can't see my feet, I don't get it in!

An Apache helicopter has crashed in Baghdad. Two pilots were on board and FNS is reporting
fatalities. Also, a dear friend of mine fighting in Iraq came under attack. He lost two of his friends from what I'm hearing. An Alabama medic stationed in Fort Carson, Colorado was killed in the attack along with another trooper. My friend is another medic in the troop and I haven't heard if he was injured or not.

John Fiedler, the voice of Piglet, passed away at the age of 80. He died a day after the voice of Tigger, Paul Winchell passed away...sad time for Disney.

Michael Jackson is thanking his fans still. Is he going to mail out personal thank you notes next? Seriously, thanking his fans , family, and God for helping him get through his molestation trial.

Richard Scrushy's jury has to start over on their 20th day of deliberations after Judge Karen Bowdre replaced a sick juror. She's determined to not call a mistrial which at this point I'm ready for, I'm sick of saying, "Still no verdict."

And I really hate that I missed this but I read about it plus I've heard some of the audio. Tom Cruise argues with Matt Lauer. I don't know what was funnier: Tom trying to sound smart, Tom proving he's gone nuts, Tom saying "Matt" and "OK?" nearly a thousand times, or Matt Lauer fumbling through the interview! I saw Batman Begins while I was vacationing, which I think will be my only financial contribution to his upcoming nuptials.
